Race Calendar publishes the schedule people plan around, so source, verification time, timezone handling, coverage limits, and corrections should be visible—not implied.
Current schedule verified
The 2026 schedule contains 22 published race weekends and was last checked against OpenF1 at Jul 21, 2026, 11:30 AM UTC. It becomes delayed when a successful verification is more than 30 minutes old.
Source and normalization
OpenF1 meetings and sessions are the current-season source. Race Calendar normalizes Grand Prix names, core session types, circuit metadata, UTC start/end times, sprint formats, and cancellation state into one compact schedule contract.
Freshness and safe fallback
The current schedule is checked every 15 minutes. A smaller or structurally incomplete upstream response is rejected, and the last verified snapshot is served with a delayed-verification warning instead.
Timezone behavior
Canonical session timestamps are stored in UTC. The schedule can render in the browser timezone, each circuit's supplied UTC offset, or UTC. Calendar feeds use UTC so the subscriber's calendar handles local display and daylight-saving rules.
Cancellations and changes
Cancelled weekends remain explicitly cancelled when present and are excluded from countdown selection and calendar alarms. A moved session keeps its stable calendar UID so subscriptions update instead of creating duplicates.
Coverage boundaries
Current schedule and detailed results use OpenF1-backed data from 2023 onward. Pages using that partial range say “since 2023” or “2023–present” instead of presenting the totals as complete careers.
Historical season, race, winner, driver, constructor, circuit, and country pages use a separate 1950–present archive. Incomplete or ambiguous joins are withheld rather than published as confident facts.
“Last verified” means the schedule source responded successfully and passed structural checks. It does not mean Race Calendar is an official Formula 1 service. Race Calendar is independent and not affiliated with Formula 1.
Public schedule change record
This bounded record covers meaningful corrections or delivery changes that affect how a fan reads or trusts the published schedule. Routine successful verification is not logged as a change.
2026 calendar correction
The cancelled Bahrain and Saudi Arabian rounds were removed from the published 2026 calendar after their status was confirmed.
